Inspired by elements of Vinyasa Flow, Baptiste, Anusara, Iyengar, Kripalu, and Prana Flow, I teach a playful class focused on exploration of the asanas for all students, regardless of their experience level. During my 7 years of yoga practice, I have learned to approach yoga with a sense of curiosity, acknowledging that every practice and every day is different. As a yoga instructor, I hope to instill that same curiosity and excitement for yoga in my students. In addition, my experience as a psychologist working with mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques serves as a nice compliment to my role as a yoga teacher. In my classes, I strive to guide students through a moving meditation with a focus on staying present. By offering students variations of many poses and yoga sequences, I seek to help students explore their edge. Each class offers students the opportunity to engage in a vigorous, creative flow while also exploring the mental and emotional benefits of yoga.
