Erin, RYT-200, is a certified yoga teacher in the Hatha style. Her training was completed under Pamela Bliss at YogAsylum in the winter of 2012. Since then she has continued to explore yogic traditions through participating in seminars at the Yoga Journal Conference (New York 2012) and through continuing education at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, PA. The summer of 2013, Erin spent a month living at the Himalayan Institute as part of the self transformation program during which she had the opportunity to study Restorative Yoga with AnaMargret Sanchez.
Erin’s yoga classes use asana (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), and guided relaxation as an expression of self awareness and compassion. Students are encouraged to turn inward by softening their gazes and meeting any tension or resistance with kindness. Her Gentle Hatha classes incorporate both restorative and subtle strengthening sequences to promote the health of the spine and sacrum.
