Racheal
Hello! My name is Racheal and I have been teaching Hatha Yoga for 3 years. Key elements I like to incorporate into classes and my own practice are self-care, compassion for others and for Mother Earth. My mother first introduced yoga to me when I was a child. It helped focus my energy and better learn the power of the breath. I committed to my yoga practice in college when I noticed the physical and mental benefits, such as anxiety and stress management. After graduation in 2016, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend a teacher training program led by Esther Ekhart. She founded Ekhart Yoga, which is based in the Netherlands. I lived in Gibson City, IL for 18 years. In that time, I was able to travel to many states with my mother, grandma, and great aunt. Those vacations were an essential part of me growing up. They solidified the importance of family and encouraged my adventurous spirit. I moved away from home twice to spend time in Alaska and then New Hampshire. At the end of August, I made my way back to Central Illinois. I am grateful to Living Yoga Center for being a wonderful space to share my passion for yoga, and the Teaching Tribe for welcoming me to the studio. |
