Lisa
Lisa Haake came to yoga through mindfulness meditation, seeking to add a physical aspect to that practice; and what a vast, powerful and joyful space opened up! Lisa enjoys cultivating curiosity, compassion and playfulness on the mat and seeks to create a space for students to do the same. She believes that yoga can provide infinite possibilities for not only relieving suffering but discovering more joy and meaning in everyday life. Lisa completed her yoga teacher training through YogaWorks and is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She recently completed the LifeForce Yoga Practitioner training which certifies her to provide therapeutic yoga. Lisa is also a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Ph.D. in Human Development. Her experience as a psychotherapist increases her sensitivity to the mental and emotional worlds that affect well-being and the relationships with one’s self and others. In her personal life, Lisa enjoys her husband and four children, chickens, gardening, running and connecting with anything from the natural world.
