Steve
I began a disciplined study and practice of asana, pranayama and meditation towards the end of the last century and have been teaching since March 2003; but I first stumbled upon yoga in 1973. My formal teacher training began in 2001 when I studied with William Lawton Wilson, a direct student of Sri K. Pattabhi, and includes studying with Geoffrey Earendil, Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini, Seane Corn, Tias Little, Rama Berch, Deb Lister, Arielle Thomas Newman, Rob Stryker and continuously since 2010 in person and on-line with Assdil Palkhivala, a student of BK Iyengar. I believe the study and practice of pranayama is a significant foundation of healthy living and available to everyone. No style of yoga practice is appropriate for every body; however, the practice of yoga is appropriate for everyone. I strive to create a group practice that is accessible, inspiring, healing and an adventure of self-awareness. The journey on the mat offers us the skills to move the practice into living authentically incorporating strength, openness, grace, beauty, and passion. I am honored to share stewardship of the Living Yoga Center with my wife Sharon |
