Many times yogis will use gentle asana or movement meditation as a preparation for sitting in meditation. Mandala namaskar is an intelligent sequence of poses that serves well for hip opening and sitting. Mandalas are traditionally a circular pattern, rich with history, and spanning cultures. In Tibetan Culture they are created in community and represent impermanence, the cycle of life.

Merry Mary will share with you sacred chants used to create a calm mind. This is a great way to set-up a meditation practice. In addition, we will explore the thread of the breath in mindfulness meditation. Learn how to use malas with a bead strand from India. The mala beads will be a gift for you to take home to aid as a tool for your meditation practice.
