Lyndsey Scott

Lyndsey takes notes from Rilke, Bucky, rivers, and kids. Expect sensitive, straightforward, authentic, playful instruction that leads you to the heart of your own self-guidance: ever discovering the present moment, in -your- skin! Her passion for yoga & meditation began in 2006 in the wake of some big life Uh-Ohs — she discovered that, amidst the chaos, she could come home to the still well of wisdom in the body, and find peace through listening in. Kindergarteners were her first gurus: sharing yoga with children sparked an interest in becoming officially certified to teach. She trained in gentle Hatha practice with Devarshi Hartman and Jovinna at Kripalu in 2012, earning her 200-hr certification and enjoying their transmission laced with humor and lots of dance! On the foundation of compassionate practice, she hopes her students will learn to explore their edge with a sense of divine curiosity, devotion, and bravery.

Lyndsey continues the celebration of existence off the mat in various media — song-weaving, visual art, dancing, gardening. Trained as a painter (UI BFA 2002), community artist (CAT STL 2003), and permaculturist (PDC PA 2013), she loves learning to deejay the social shapes and spiritual practices that best support enjoyable, sustainable societal transformation.
