It Has been a long time since we’ve seen you.

This week we removed the back door winter curtain and enjoyed the sanctuary of the Living Yoga Center with an open view of visiting birds and the sound of wind chimes.

From home we transplanted Marigolds, Cannas, Tomatoes, Castor Beans and Lemon Balm to the studio pots and the back door garden. We also sowed Sunflower, Zinnia, Moon Flowers, Pumpkin, and Watermelon seeds.

We look forward to the day we again come together in the sanctuary of the Living Yoga Center and experience the community of asana, pranayamana, meditation and fellowship.

We think of you in our daily practice of living Yoga at home.
Virtual Hugs!

While the Living Yoga Center is closed for group practices, it is our intention to continue sharing information and inspiration. Check our Facebook page for daily inspirational messages.

We all know that practicing Yoga (asana, pranayama & meditation) helps to calm anxiety and boost our immune systems. So here are some poses you may find beneficial to practice at home

  • Hero – Virasana (stimulates lymph nodes inside the calf)
  • Kapalabhati – Breath of Fire (not for pregnancy or HPB)
  • Uddiyana Bandha (not for pregnancy or HPB) (stimulates lymph nodes lining anterior lumbar)
  • Tree – Vrkshasana (with foot at very top of inner thigh) (stimulates lymph nodes along upper inner thigh)
  • Eagle – Garudasana (stimulates lymph nodes under armpits)
  • Bridge – Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (stimulates thymus gland)
  • Shoulderstand – Salambha Sarvangasana (stimulates lymph nodes under chin)
  • Viparita Karani – Legs up the Wall (stimulates thymus gland and calms nerves)

If you are unfamiliar with any of these poses, there are many great on-line resources that will explain/demonstrate them for you

Dear Living Yoga Center Tribe,

We are sad to say we are temporarily closing the studio in light of the current public health concerns.

We are grateful for your presence and support.  May we see this time less as separation and seclusion, but more as an opportunity to practice discipline for the health, harmony and well-being of all humans sharing this earth.

Memberships and class cards will be frozen until it is safe for us to reopen the sanctuary.

We truly look forward to sharing physical space with you again.

Be well.  Be positive.  Be calm.

Kirtan w/Band of Bhavanii 7:30-8:30 pm (Last Friday of most months)
Kirtan is call-and-response chanting (singing) practiced as part of India’s bhakti yoga devotional tradition. For those who find meditation challenging, kirtan is a form of mantra meditation set to music. Singing the mantra can be a way to lull our minds into quiet and deeper experiences of ourselves. Lyric sheets will be provided and no previous musical experience is necessary. A donation-based gathering, just bring yourself and an open mind.

Our Schedule and Teachers are subject to change.

Please visit our Class Schedule for the most current class times, teachers and class descriptions.
