Yin Yoga w/Rachel Fridays 10:00-11:15 am beginning June 14th

Yin Yoga is a slow, quiet practice that achieves deep and intense stretching of the connective tissues surrounding the joints, allowing for greater flexibility over time.  In this class, we will focus on opening the hips while releasing all tension from the body.  While the practice is appropriate for everyone, it is not necessarily “easy”.  The depth and intensity of the work can be challenging both physically and mentally.  Of course, modifications will be offered for all levels.  Please join us!

Kirtan w/Roger 7:30-8:30 pm (4th Friday of most months)
Kirtan is call-and-response chanting (singing) practiced as part of India’s bhakti yoga devotional tradition. For those who find meditation challenging, kirtan is a form of mantra meditation set to music. Singing the mantra can be a way to lull our minds into quiet and deeper experiences of ourselves. Lyric sheets will be provided and no previous musical experience is necessary. A donation-based gathering, just bring yourself and an open mind.

Our Schedule and Teachers are subject to change.

Donation Based Practices at The Living Yoga Center

Yoga Gives Sundays 4:00-5:00 pm (on summer hiatus until September)

On most Sundays from 4-5:00 pm, we offer Yoga Gives, a yoga practice designed to rejuvenate the spirit, invigorate the mind, strengthen the body, and open the heart.  These are donation based classes which means there is no class fee although a minimum donation of $5.00 is suggested.  Every month a local not-for-profit organization will be the recipient of the collected donations.

Mindful Meditation (currently on hiatus)
Present moment awareness can be elusive and we often find ourselves distracted or lost in thought. Through the training and practice of mindful meditation we can discover a calm amidst our to-do lists and more fully appreciate the gift of each day. Mindful Meditation is a donation-based gathering (pay what you feel is right for you) and is open to the entire community.
